Hey guys,
Real sorry about taking so long to post anything up. Been pretty busy and had an injured lower back so didn't get much footage for the last couple weeks. Here's a little Christmas cheer for you though. We hiked out of bounds and built this kicker with people from the snowboard club (it's basically just an email list for people to get out and ride together). Hope everyone had an awesome Christmas. Be sure to watch in HD and make it full screen. I'm wearing green pants in case you were wondering. Enjoy!

Videos from drive up
Alright, sorry about the delay. I've been amazingly busy having fun and taking care of business since I got here. These are some of the vids from the end of my drive on the way up here. Some of it was taken more to keep me entertained than anything but I thought you might enjoy.
Here's another good one where an oversized semi passes me on the right while I'm going 60mph. That sound you hear is it throwing all the sand and rocks into my car.
The rest are just me narrating since you can't see much in the dark. I'm on a caffeine high at this point with some adrenaline mixed in.
Notice how I'm going 50mph in this video and the semi cruises by me like nothing.

PS I realized after posting this how crappy the video quality is. It doesn't matter for these vids, but in the future I'll start embedding Vimeo videos into the blog to try and maintain a decent quality. Otherwise it won't be worth posting any footage.
PPS The resort opens tomorrow. It's gonna be sick!

Trip to the Great White North
If you're here you might know me or just love the outdoors in some way. Recently I decided to spend the winter in Canada to snowboard and snowmobile in some of the best terrain and conditions in North America. This documents my trip.
The drive up took about 15 hours with a 2 hour stop in Seattle to meet with a couple peeps. The border crossing went smoothly. The guy asked me why I was going there like he couldn't tell from the snowmobile and 4 snowboards attached to my car. I wanted to tell him I was trafficking Russian brides across the border.
In case any of you don't know truck drivers are fucking crazy in Canada. I had a solid few hours of driving on snowy/icy roads in the dark and there were semis passing me going 60mph+. On the worst stretch of road I saw 3 wrecks in one hour. The first wreck oddly enough was a cop car with the back end smashed in. The second wreck was a semi with the cab separated from the cargo. Not sure how that happened but I'm sure it wasn't good. After I got to the next town I still had about 4 hours to go so I picked up some extra strength 5-hour energy and blasted some heavy techno for the rest of the drive while trying to keep up with the truckers when I could. I'll post a video or two later where I narrated during my caffeine/adrenaline induced haze.
My house is pretty nice and the people here have been super friendly. I've met new people to hang with almost every day since I've gotten here. Been really busy snowmobiling, working on my snowmobile, or hiking in the backcountry so it's been fun for the most part. Although working on the sled outside when it's below 0F gets kinda annoying since your hands become useless pretty quickly.
Anyway, enough with the boring stuff. I'll try post up more pics and videos later but here's something to get you started.
